Punch Needle

Boredpuppy_1

I don't know this puppy, I found him on the net and then added the 'blah', but his little face could sum up my mood today.  Kinda blah.

Nothing bad, nothing sad, just a blah day.

I'm the kind of person who has to be doing something all the time.  Problem is, I have a list here of about 20 things I need to get done and it can be a bit overwhelming, which then leads to not doing anything at all.

I want to move my office around a bit....again!....so I'm getting up enough energy to do that.  I'm in the process of finding a new desk and because I'm being extra picky this time around, I'm having a hard time finding a desk I like.  Of course I'd LOVE an old antique desk, but I'm to the point of giving up on that dream.  Next choice is a great big oak desk.  I want a nice deep desk this time so I can have not only my computer monitor on it, but also all my papers I like to have spread out while I'm working.  Right now I'm sitting here typing with the keyboard on my lap, and my little desk I have the computer on is overflowing with papers, pens, my ever present dictionary and such.  If I need to put the keyboard down, I have to either put it on top of all the papers, or put it on the hard drive that's sitting at my feet.  For some reason I don't feel too productive with this set up.

I have signed up for three swaps which are due in November and also one that is due in December, so I'll get started on those soon.

I am dying to get started on some crafts but just don't know where to begin.  I've had such an urge to do something crafty!  I'll start out easy and pre-packaged and then go from there I guess.

I've always wanted to try these little punch needle kits so when I was in Michael's last week, I bought two.

Have you noticed something about the two patterns I picked out?  They couldn't be more different could they?  I do that all the time.  Same thing but in two different themes.  I love the colors of the latte pattern and of course I love anything latte/tea related, but I also like the softness and country feel of the Home Sweet Home pattern.  Kind of makes you wonder if I have a split personality or something doesn't it?

So it's official, I now have a WIP!

Since starting this little project I have found punch needle isn't rocket science, which is a perfect project for me to start with I think.  Small enough so I don't get bored, and not complicated so I don't get discouraged.
