I Feel Progress
This was the list I made for myself Wednesday morning....Yes this is an actual list of mine. Notice how I write to myself. Like I'm actually talking to myself. Weirdo.
My note and poor attempts at doodling had me thinking about Radioactive's post. I'm not really a doodler. It's probably because I can't sit still long enough, or it could have something to do with I can't draw worth crap. I'd like to doodle though. I can't help but wonder how many famous cartoonists started off doodling?
I AM however, a list maker. With this memory of mine I have lists everywhere. Stuck to my computer, in the kitchen, in my vehicle....I should really buy stocks in post-it notes.
Most of the time I don't get my lists completed and I think it's because I put too much on them. It's unrealistic to think I can get 40 things done in one day, yet I always have a list a mile long. So I made a point of making a very small list yesterday.
By the time I made phone calls, worked in the office here and got my butt in gear it was noon when I started, but my Wednesday list......is done. Complete. Finee....or however the French say it.
Hump day was a good day.

You got some things done? Cool! Wish I could do that... ;-)
I tried lists. Kept losing them. Then I tried a PDA, with a nifty "To-Do" thing. It worked great! Especially after I learned how to automatically change the dates on "past due" items.
Back to the future! No more past due! Also, not so much completed. Although I did become fairly productive at maintaining my To-Do lists. Aside: 'maintaining' did not equal 'completing.'
*sigh*

I love lists - need lists, I should say. It feels so good to check stuff off a list. I don't doodle on them, though. I doodle when I'm on the phone, but I wouldn't say that they're akin to art or anything.
The lists have gotten a little out of control when I take the kids grocery shopping. I separate my original list into two so that they each get one because they enjoy checking off the items. It's a pain because I have to print really neatly so that they can read it.

I write lists all the time. Then I run them through the paper shredder when it looks like I won't complete them.."Hide the evidence" is my motto..

I'm not really a doodler. Why, sure you are. Everyone is a doodler. Doodling is what started those comics you spoke of on the paths to their greatest master-pieces...
I am a list maker myself as well as a doodler but the problem uis that when I get to doodling i start having such a great time or I get caught up in some parralell world where doodling is GODLIKE or something and I end up forgetting to write the list. Who knew? I sure didn't, or, did I?
At any rate, do some doodling and I will doodle too.
BTW, thanks for the link, I am not completely sure what good they do us seeing that these blogs of ours are completely non-profit and tax-exempt, HA!
Later Joy...Now, gitterdone!!!!

Ah yes, the paper shredder. I have one and I think I'll start using it more. Sometimes these things can be sitting right there in front of you and it takes a comment from Happy for me to see the light. Shredders are a good thing.
Just the boost I needed Blu. I'm gittenerdone LOL Oh geez, now I'm going to be saying that all the time. Gitterdone, I love it! As for putting you in my favorites, you'll see I don't have too many in there. That must mean you're special :o)

I wouldn't have it any other way...

I hate lists. Lists just mean I have to do something. I don't want to do something. If I did, I would know what I wanted to do without having a list to tell me because I already know what I wanted to do. But if you need a list, go for it. Obviously, you didn't really want a list because you probably spent more time doodling that writing the list...right? :-)
