Blogtipping - January 1

 

The first of every month is Blogtipping Day.   Three Blogtipping Rules for you.....

Bronze Blogtipping Rule:

On the first day of the month, pick three blogs and offer their bloggers three compliments and one suggestion each via a post on your blog.

Silver Blogtipping Rule:

Blogtipping is about making someone else's day and educating others about excellent blogging practices in the process.

Golden Blogtipping Rule:

Tip unto others as you would have others tip unto you.

My first Tippee: Writing Aspirations:

1. I first saw Writing Aspirations when I participated in NaBloPoMo.  I instantly put her in my favorite's list and it's because I think this lady is a fantastic writer.  You could say I'm hooked on Writing Aspirations.
2. Rashenbo's January 1, 2007 entry will tell you best what this blog is about.  Her blog is the one I go to when I want to know what's 'in' and what's 'not' in, in the blogging world.  She tells you how to bring reader's to your blog, how to get your name out there and she tells you her opinion on blogs.  You can also spend hours in her side-bars....which I have done.
3. Writing Aspirations gives me a glimpse into the real world of writing and I have to say, it doesn't look like a task I would ever take on.  She makes it look easy and I guess that's why she's the writer and I'm just Joy T. :o)

Tip:  I don't tip except to say this blog must be interesting or I wouldn't be bragging about it.

Tippee Number Two:  Waters Five:

1. Waters Five came to me by way of Typepad.  Sometimes you get unlucky when you click on those 'recently updated Typepad' blogs, but other times you come across a real gem like Waters Five.  Take a look at this clip alone and tell me if this is not the sweetest thing you have ever seen.
2. As you can tell from past blogtipping's, I'm really big on family blogs.  In a world where children are sometimes forgotten and adults don't have the time of day for anyone but themselves, I look for blogs that show what the true meaning of the word 'family' is.  Add in some great photography and I am instantly hooked on your blog.  Waters Five has both.  A beautiful family with great photography.
3. I like the side-bars and I love that mom Jamie is a Two Peas Creating Garden team member.  Oh man do I love Two Peas.  All in all a very bright and cheery blog that I go to when the clouds are hanging down around my world :o)

Tippee Number Three:  Pappy's Dog Blog:

1. What can I say about Pappy's Blog?  There aren't enough words.  Cute, funny, adorable, entertaining....the list goes on and on.  This is what it says in the header  "Pappy is our mustachioed terrier mutt, with the bandy-legged gait of a cowpoke and the grizzled mug of a chuckwagon cook. These are his ongoing adventures..."  Is that not the best?  Even if there wasn't a picture of Pappy, you could picture this adorable dog.
2. I love this blog because I have a dog.  My dog is not a grizzled cowpoke.....more of a flaming interior designer....but a dog nonetheless.  With dogs come stories, and Pappy has a lot of great stories to tell.  From dog park rumbles to everday going's on, Pappy's stories are the best by far.
3. Pappy's movies are hilarious and you can tell a lot of work went into these.  It's hard to pick a favorite, but the "Confessions of a Ball-Chasing Addict" is priceless.

A note in the comment section here. I tried contacting Pappy's blog to let them know I was 'tipping' them but, they didn't allow anonymous commenters on their blog. Bummer. Hopefully if they make their way here they won't mind me talking about them...but if you do make yourr way here Pappy and DO mind....just let me know and I will take you off my list :o)

Rashenbo - Because I cheated. I was finally able to slow down after Christmas and realized I missed Blogtipping for January 1st. Typepad allows me to 'back-date' my entries so it makes it look like I'm as efficient as ever :o)

Honored to have the attention and affirmation. Every once in a while it's interesting for me to stop by a blog where the author doesn't speak in the persona of a pet-- not that there's anything wrong with that!

I've never done blog tipping before. Might think about that one.

I find it interesting that you look for the same type of blogs that I do. Family blogs, people blogs, blogs with a soul. Kind of like yours...and Debbie's, and H&B2, and Blu's, and Chalice's, and NV's...people blogs. Its fun getting to know someone from their blogs. I'm lucky enough to know at least one of my blog friends...Debbie. Oh and I know David from Bravus too...

I've started looking at other blogs from some of the people who comment on my blog friend's blogs. (there must be a better word than blog) :-)

Wow. I was wondering the same thing, Joy. I had checked your blog and seen the Lazy and Lumpy entry, and then looked again later and saw this one. I couldn't figure out how missed, but then just chalked it up to my being blind or something. Thanks for clearing that up. :)
