In Stitches....and not the laughing kind
My amazon book order finally came and Amy Butler's In Stitches is exactly what I thought it would be.
Then I went to the fabric store and bought the above pretty fabrics.
The goal is to make the CD Holder in the picture above. I want to make the CD Holder in the picture above because when I grow up, I want to be just like these ladies and have the talent they do.
Now. Can I ask that you all bow your heads and say a little prayer...because I'm going to need all the help I can get.
But first, I'm going to have to dust off the sewing machine and figure out how to thread the damn thing.

Good luck! I do know how to sew, and have worked on various machines in my life.. so imagine my dismay when I took out my "new" (received approx a year ago machine) and had to find the book to recall how to wind a bobbin!!! In my defense, it IS a very cool embrodiery machine, but it is sad that I have gone so many months without using it that I could not recall how to wind a bobbin!

Couldn't you just buy a plastic CD holder that would look better and be more functional..
ummmm...good luck with the sewing machine..

Happy: What? Hey You! I don't like those plastic things and would rather have my CD's stacked on top of the hard drive where they are now. I like nice. Pretty even. So there. Nice to see you back from your vacation Happy. You've been missed. Kind of :o)

You can get wood CD holders and they look nice. I pray that yours turns out as nice and the one in the book. Good luck on that!! ;-)
