Blogtipping - March 1

Blogtipping_5

The first of every month is Blogtipping Day.   Three Blogtipping Rules for you.....

Bronze Blogtipping Rule:

On the first day of the month, pick three blogs and offer their bloggers three compliments and one suggestion each via a post on your blog.

Silver Blogtipping Rule:

Blogtipping is about making someone else's day and educating others about excellent blogging practices in the process.

Golden Blogtipping Rule:

Tip unto others as you would have others tip unto you.

My first TippeeReview My Blog:

  1. I found 'Review My Blog' from Radioactive Jam and instantly liked it.  As a matter of fact I made a little note beside their blog address that says "Seriously LIKE!".  Capitals and an exclamation mark.  Now that's serious.  The title is pretty self explanatory.  You submit your blog for them to review and then hold on for the ride.
  2. I have read a lot of their reviews now and I think what I like the most is....I agree with all of the reviews I've read so far.  Which doesn't mean a hill of beans of course because I'm just some lowly rambler blogger, but what it does mean is when I'm looking for blogs to read to pass the time away, I know I can go over to Review My Blog and find some really great blogs that have already been reviewed and given the thumbs up.
  3. These ladies tell it like it is and I personally like the brutally honest approach.  Some blogs have even changed...for the better I might add...after having been reviewed.  I think it's great to have something like this out there for those people like me who just don't have a clue what people like and what they don't like when it comes to blogging.

Tip:  I don't tip except to say this blog must be interesting or I wouldn't be bragging about it.

Tippee Number Two:  Paper Pretties:

  1. Now normally I wouldn't Blogtip a site like Paper Pretties until it's been up and running for some time, but I stumbled upon their blog and thought they had the greatest idea since sliced bread.  Actually brilliant comes to mind for people like me who need their hands held when it comes to stamping and making cards.
  2. Paper Pretties is a "card class in a box".  I'm sure you've all heard of scrapbook kits being delivered to your door, well now there is such a thing as card classes right to your door.  Once registered and signed up, Paper Pretties will send a kit each month with everything in the kit to make up six cards.  Instructions, stamps, embellishments and more all delivered to your door.  I love it.
  3. My first kit doesn't arrive until April but I will write a follow-up when it does come in.  I don't usually recommend things like this without first trying them, but this is an idea I think Paper Pretties will take right off with.  I wish them nothing but luck with their new adventure and can't wait to see what kinds of cards they come up with.

Tip:  I don't tip except to say this blog must be interesting or I wouldn't be bragging about it.

Tippee Number ThreeLittle Cotton Rabbits:

  1. Little Cotton Rabbits is one of those blogs you sit and thank your lucky stars you found.  Not only does she knit Little Cotton Rabbits, but she knits these cupcakes that look good enough to eat.  Not cute enough for you?  Then take a look at this.  If I could knit, I would want to be just like Julie when I grew up.
  2. As always I can vouch what I write because I was lucky enough to get one of Julie's little rabbits.  I have had more compliments on Noelle than anything else in my office so far.  I can't wait to purchase more items from Little Cotton Rabbits and that's almost a challenge in itself.  You see, Julie's rabbits are so popular, they are almost gone before you know it.  She has an 'advanced email list' and I'd highly recommend being put on it so you know when her treasures are going on sale.
  3. If Julie's knitting talent isn't enough to keep me coming back, the way she handles having an autistic child does.  Like everyone else in the world, I've heard the word autism before but never really thought much more about it.  The first time I knew Julie had an autistic son was when I read this entry and I sat there with tears in my eyes.  Not for her having a son with autism, but over the words of a mother's love.  Toby is one lucky little boy to have a mom as great as Julie, and even though he may not be able to tell her, I hope she realizes there are people like me in the world who think she is not only a very talented lady but an incredible mother as well.

Tip:  I don't tip except to say this blog must be interesting or I wouldn't be bragging about it.

Aw shucks!

Thanks for the "tip"!

We appreciate it! yes, we try to be honest in our reviews, and really every blog thats been submitted so far has been pretty decent. I know I've added almost all of them to my own bloglines to read!

Also, I can't tell you how excited we are that many of the blogs getting reviewed really ARE making changes! May have changed their templates, fixed coding errors, heck-- one even changed her whole title! We love doing it, and we're truly having a blast!

And Radioactive Jam was one of our favorites, too!

Loved "Review My Blog". It's been added to my favourites along with one that they reviewed. Thanks, Joy!

How will I ever keep up with blog tipping and Thankful Thursday all in one day....I guess I'm off the hook now that it is Friday!!! ;)

Very nice job. Have you touched up the design here lately? It looks great!

I'm making up the digest post right now and you'll get a link in it once I'm done!

Easton: Thanks :o) Yes, my blog has probably changed since the last time you were here. I thought I would make it look more like 'me' now that I seem to be hooked on blogging.
