Has Anyone Seen My Len's Cap?
For someone whose claim to fame is being so organized, I sure have been unusually UN-organized lately. Seriously. What is up with that?! And I lost my lens cap to my macro lens. Which to some people might not be a big deal but to me it's a very big deal especially when I just had it in my hand. ~grumble mumble~
If someone were to ask me what month I hate the most out of the entire year I would say January. For years now it's been a month I just can't get a hold of and this year is no different. Unorganized, running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, misplacing things and just blah...and unorganized.
My mood isn't horrible and to be quite honest I'm surprised it's as good as it is for January, but I do twitch a bit when I finally venture out of this home of mine and every time I turn around people are hacking and coughing and sicker then dogs. *gag* I'm telling you right now there should be a law against people working in a grocery store who are so sick they are hacking and coughing....and then handling my pork chops. Deli lady: "Here you cough hack cough cough are maam." Me turning slightly green: "Umm no thanks. I changed my mind." *gag* And the cashier at the check-out counter? Should NOT be handling my groceries. And is money not dirty enough without someone adding a coughed-up lung on top of it? Little own the air miles card she took, coughed into and then handed back to me. *twitch gag* **desperately searches for her hand sanitizer after leaving check out line** I swear less people would be sick in this world if people would JUST STAY HOME WHEN THEY'RE SICK INSTEAD OF SPREADING THEIR NASTY DISEASE TO EVERYONE THEY COME IN CONTACT WITH! Because you just know those poor sick people aren't washing their hands like they're supposed to.
I'm not sure why this came to mind right now *blink blink* but last weekend Tarzan was on tv and when the first 14 seconds of the really bad only YouTube clip I could find this particular part came on, my youngest laughed so hard I thought she was going to crack a rib. When I asked her what she was laughing so hard about she said "Oh man mom, is that little elephant you or what??! I'm going to start calling you Tantor." Have I ever mentioned what a funny child I have? Ya.
I personally think Tantor is an adorable little fellow who has every right to be concerned about the sanitary conditions of the water he is about to step foot in. But that's just my opinion. Me and Tantor understand and that's all that matters.
Now. Has anyone seen my blasted len's cap to my macro lens? Because I can't find it anywhere and I'm about to loose my mind. Sorry. No YouTube clip for that.

I think the reason alot of people go to work sick is that so many companies are doing away with sick days. I can't call in sick unless I have vacation days to use. I agree though, I'd rather people not be hacking all over my groceries.. or me for that matter.

Welcome to my world everyday, Joy. A never-ending battle with organization.

I was watching the YouTube clip and the entire family gathered around to watch.
January isn't my favorite month either.

It's almost as bad as sending sick kids to school, daycare, childwatch at the gym. I swear, my kids enter the kiddie area at the gym, well, and within a few days, they are sick.
It's one thing not to be able to take off from work, but quite another to spread that crap at a gym...we are trying to be healthy here, people...
Hope you find that cap. I feel your pain.

Piranha!!! Piranha! Too funny, yep you'd be Tantor, he is a cutie. :) About the lens cap, well if you can help me find the one I lost in a huge cemetery I'll help you find yours. :) I have lost them in some weird places, just always manage to find them, except that one in the cemetery. :(

Have you checked your shirt/bra for your lens cap? I only ask because I have a friend who lost her once, and her and her husband tore the house apart looking for it and...sure enough, it was in her shirt. Can you imagine?

EEEk - I have to go outside today! And now that I've read this - where's my mask?

My January's seem to be the same exact way and I can't ever seem to wrap my head around it long enough to just get a grip. And by the time February rolls around? I'm really screwed. It all goes down hill from there....and fast.
And I'm with ya on the sick people. STAY HOME.

I like staying home when i am sick. I am always amazed at the amount of people that come in while sick. It's a freaking hospital, are you out to make the sick people even sicker?
But if you're in a place like, say Chapters, that does not pay part time employees sick pay and you really need that money? It's off to work you go.

Cute clip! I hear ya on germs. It makes me so mad that I tell people if you have a cold don't come around! 1- I don't want to get sick and 2- my mom has a immune deficiency. What is a cold to you can put her in the hospital. And guess what? They bring their snotty nose kids anyways!

I was in the grocery recently when I headed to the bathroom. While I was in the stall, I saw (through the door crack) a cashier leave her stall and exit the bathroom without washing her hands. Luckily, she didn't check me out! I looked for a manager to tell about it, but I couldn't locate one. If that ever happens again, you bet I'll tell someone!
Hope you find your lens cap. Michele does too!

I'm sure alot of those sick people would love to stay home but they probably can't afford it, or can't find someone to cover or just has a boss who guilts you into working when you try to call in sick.
Hope you found your lens cap!!!

Cute clip, and that does sound like you, and my oldest who hates lakes and any other body of water for the same reason. I have a cold so I won't be meeting you anytime soon for packing your groceries or for coffee.
As for the lens cap, we lost our years ago. Our lens got scratched. Not good! We found out afterwards you can get lens caps with strings on them so you don't lose them. Great! It was too late.

Well Tantor...I mean Joy...I can see why your kid thought it was you with all your germophobic posts :-)
The reason people go to work sick is because not all people get paid when they are not working. I get a walloping 40 hours to be sick a year!! (note sarcasm here)

i have walked out of stores for less.
and when the guy at starbucks picks up a lid to put on my drink (after i paid him in cash) and puts his entire palm on the part where my mouth is gonna go, i seriously ask for a new lid and ask to put it on myself.
but i'm not neurotic or anything.....
