Mushu Goes to the Groomers
I was visiting a blog I can't for the life of me remember and in the comment section someone had recommended a video program for the blogger to try. I wrote the program down on a piece of paper and then promptly forgot about it. Until today.
And I know. It's actually a pretty sucky shaky video, but don't bug me. I'll probably most likely not get better. And an even bigger AND....for all the dog lovers out there who are going to write and tell me Mushu should be buckled down when we're driving. I know ok. He has a harness I normally bring to hook him into his seat but I was late and couldn't find it so ran out of the house without it. Personally I think Mushu hid it but I don't have any proof of that. So I know. Dogs loose in a vehicle is not good. To think 400 hundred years ago our farm dogs used to ride free as a bird in the back of the old farm truck with us 10 year olds driving through the field and hitting every gopher hole while we went. Guess they were tougher back then.
If you can't see the video below...and want to so you can make fun of me....you can click here and it will take you to YouTube. The video has just been uploaded so it takes awhile for it to show up in my Youtube file.

I liked him better before the grooming, but that's just a personal preference. I never secure my guys, I know I should, but well, I'm lazy.
The clip was good.

I love that video. I was gonna say, will you hate me if I tell you I liked his hair better before he was groomed?? But obviously he does too, the way he was rolling around. To dang cute.
His little car seat cracks me up. the little ratdog of mine just wonders from front seat to back seat to looking out the window, sometimes on the floor. heheehe The big dogs when they get to go (getting to old and I can't lift them the hubby has to) just ride in the back of the suburban.

WT - my personal preference is to have his hair longer too. This was three months though and he matts up pretty good if I don't get him in at three months. I take the brush to him in those three months and it's a riot to see his long hair all fuzzed out. It's like a huge white fro.
Burfica - Hey thanks for visiting. And we don't hate anyone over here at A Spot of T :o) Like I wrote to WT, I really do prefer his hair longer too. This is just a once-in-a-while maintenance cut. I see lots of dogs loose in the vehicle and I never say a word because I really don't think they need to be. Mushu gets belted in because he's a bit of a bonehead if I don't. Like say....leaning out the window too far and possibly falling out....kind of bonehead.

I was totally gonna ask where the snow was! And, is this you using the Flip? Pup's mad you got me to fall in love with it. But, I can't wait to show off my boy child singing. Mushu looks good groomed.

Very cute video but I was really expecting to here your normal high pitched voice instead of that low voice you put on for everyone :-). I guess I will just have to wait until the next coffee or breakfast meeting, or perhaps my anticipation will warrant me a smack upside the head, along with Aims who I am sure will make some similar comment about your voice.

That would 'hear' your normal high pitched voice...

Ha! Great video!
KC is sooooo due for a cut. But it's been so cold that I've been holding off. Over the weekend, I gave her a trim ... and I didn't do a bad job, if I do say so myself. She was very patience while I did it ... she wasn't too crazy about the bath afterwards, though!

I don't know Dawn - didn't you hear the high giggle in there?
I think Mushu looks totally embarrassed by his hair cut...
I mean - well - he looks kinda girly and all...

Okay. That was freakin' awesome!! Love how you timed the video with some of the lyrics. "Sittin in the back seat..." and "Gotta itch gotta scratch..". So good.
:D That gave me a smile that was MUCH needed today.

Well, that was funny! I just went to YouTube to upload a video I took of Chloe and while I was waiting for the upload screen to come up....Mushu's Groom Video showed up right in front of my face!! Since you are in my FAVES! So, I actually watched it in YouTube before I saw it here...I just love Mushu...no matter whether it's before or after the groom. He does EXACTLY the same thing as Chloe. What is it with the whole rolling thing???? And in the snow???? Sometimes I just have to carry her so the groom isn't completely wasted. Now she knows when she comes in to run upstairs for a quick blowdry. Spoiled? Nah..... Hugs to Mushu!!

Great video- Mushu was clearly not too impressed with the hair cut!

AFF - It's surprising how much snow we still have out where I am. My oldest lives in the City and she comes out to visit and can't believe it. And yep it was the Flip. I took 8 videos and cut and spliced the 20 minutes down into 1 minute and 35 seconds. And I can't WAIT to see you gorgeous boy child sing!!
Dawn - LOL normal high pitched voice LOL Yep. A smack upside the head's looking pretty good about now. Oh ooops. Adding a :o) here.
Teena - You trim your dog's hair??! I am bowing down to you oh great one. No way would I ever attempt cutting my dog's hair. I still have very clear nightmares on the haircut I gave my son when he was about 3. The horrors!
Aims - pffffft!
Debbie - Glad we could help with the smile. Hope all is ok.
Jeanne - And if there was water? He'd walk right through it and then turn around and look at me. He really does get the itchies after a haircut and the snow scratches that itch quite nicely. You should see him on the freshly mowed grass. The little butthead.
chrisb - Mushu LOVES going to the groomers because they absolutely spoil him rotten in there. But you're right. He really doesn't like the short hair and doesn't roll around nearly as much when his hair is kept longer.

he's cute both ways. love how, now that he's cleaned up, he's rolling around in the snow.
SNOW?? why do y'all still have snow? isn't it spring? :-)

Multi-tasking: Driving AND Filming.
Liked the longer version better, but still and cute, cute dog.

Came back to watch it again. He's such a cutie pie. :)

Janet - I know right?? Still two feet of it out in my yard. Ugh.
Swampy - Longer version? And I'm good but I'm not that good. My youngest daughter was in the vehicle too.
Debbie - Glad you're enjoying it. I've received so many emails on this video. Which is pretty darn cool.

What a great little video, loved it. Mushu is just too darn cute!

Awwww...What's cuter than a snow white doggie rolling in the snow.
I love the little kerchief he wears round his neck.
Give him a hug from Frances

What a cute video and such an appropriate song. Very good.

Beautirific he is. Hey and not to mention all us kids who rode around in the back of pick-ups.

I loved watching the snow fly as he rolled and shook. I can't believe how happy he looked! I took my two to the groomer's lst week and they pouted for three days. I had to put their little t-shirts on them because they kept shivering. Now they are happy and bouncy again, finally. They need to visit with Mushu and find out why he's so happy so maybe they'll change their thoughts.

karina - thank you and thank you.
Frances - I banned the bows they used to put on the top of his head because I told them it messed with his self esteem. So then they changed and started putting bandanas on him. But I think the angel teddy bear bandana they put on him this time isn't quite what I had in mind.
junebug - thanks, I had a ton of fun making it.
robinella - isn't THAT the truth!
Lisa - I tried videotaping him as we were getting close to the groomers but I suck at videotaping and that video was just too shaky. He whines and carries on because he's just so happy to go. The dog in front of us they have to drag in, but Mushu jumps over the dog and runs to the back to see all the ladies. Quite embarrassing sometimes the way he just assumes everyone loves him. But they spoil him absolutely rotten in there and squeal his name when they see him. Me? To them I'm just Mushu's owner....whatshername.
