Full Posts in Feeds it is. I hope.
**Edited to say......are my eyes deceiving me or does the type all of a sudden look smaller on my blog now? If you notice a difference could you tell me please. These eyes of mine aren't what they used to be so it could be me not the blog.***
Phew! What a week! I wasn't going to post this but I don't know how my day is going to go yet so I wanted to get a post up. Mostly because I wanted to see if I managed to figure out and change something in typepad so people will now get a FULL post in their feed.
I have to say, as frustrating as getting a new blog design up is, it's been such a fantastic thing for me. And I have to clarify when I say....frustrated. To those who have written, no it's definitely not the blog designer who I'm frustrated with. Oh man, I think I would marry that woman. If I swung that way. Which I don't. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's that this was the only way she could work on the blog. She had to launch it with so many things not done. I have no idea if it's typepad or the previous design that made it impossible for her to work on without having to launch it first, but trust me when I say she did not want to put it all out there when it wasn't completely done.
I had wanted to have everything up and done and completely finished and ready and THEN launch the new design. It's not like I'm a wildly popular blog that thousands of people will miss or get ticked off with if I'm not up and running properly. That doesn't matter to me. But I'm a planner and an organizer so when things don't go as planned....I get a bit frustrated.
Do I lose sleep over it? Meh. Blogging is a verrrrrrry tiny part of my life. I do it strictly for fun and as much as I have time for. Which is why I haven't been to anyone's blogs in a few days. THAT part I miss when I'm as busy as I have been. I love catching up on everyone's lives. It takes me away from my own and that's a good thing once in awhile.
The great thing about the new design is that I have learned more in this past week then I EVER thought I would learn when it came to typepad and what it can do. I have learned about 'pages', I have learned how to re-size photos in Photoshop and how to put them up in the sidebar. I have learned....hopefully....how everyone gets my posts in their feed, I have learned a bit about HTML code and so so SO much more. It's been incredible and I can't seem to get enough of it. I want to learn absolutely everything there is to know about typepad and what it can do for my blog. I definitely want to learn more HTML. Well anyway. Let's just say it's opened up a whole new world for me.
And a huge thank you to everyone who is loving the new design. I think only a couple people have said they preferred the other design to this one and I'm ok with that. I absolutely loved the other design too, but it was time for a change. I was very limited in what I could do with the other design because it was done in an advanced template. Every smidge of a change had to be done by the blog designer and it's something I hated from the very beginning. I want control over my own blog thank you very much. My new blog designer encourages me to learn as much as I can and has been writing stuff out for me. She insists I will know typepad like the back of my hand before she is through with me. I mean how great is that?? The woman is a complete miracle worker I tell you.
So now it's off to get ready to get my new haircut. With a new hairdresser. I'm a little itchy about it. Something about being outside of my comfort zone and all that. What I'm really looking forward to though, is having a completely free evening tonight so I can get caught up on reading everyone in my blogroll!!!

Full posts in feed in most certainly is!
And love the new look...it's very um brave! ;)

It's always fun to learn something new. Good for you. And I can imagine it would have been frustrating to have to consult the blog designer everytime you wanted to change something. I'm sure you'll enjoy this much more.
Happy Blogging!

It all looks nice. Your type does seem a little smaller, but I can just large my page, so no biggie.
Good luck with the new hair dresser.

Gosh! You are SO busy! How do you do it? :0)
Girl - you know I'm busting my buttons with pride on your newfound knowledge! Good for you! I have to ask The Man for everything - well almost - it goes in one ear and out the other!
Looking forward to a pic of the new hairdo. Hope it turns out well and you don't have to use a public bathroom again to get it right.

I hope the new do turned out well. I love the new look of your blog. I have learnt a little HTML but not a lot. I am still having trouble with some things. I am glad you are able to work on your own blog. I know that would make me a little antsy to have to call on someone else to do it. Hey, I do that now with Sirdar, but that's different somehow.

Hope your hair cut experience was as good as my dental appointment (I'm beginning to wonder if they're reading my blog at the dentist's office). I have had many male hairdressers over the years and have much prefered the work they do. The ones I had tended to be more adventurous at picking hairstyles - if you leave them to their own devices - but concentrated a lot on ensuring that whatever they did to my hair complimented the shape of my face and fit my daily grooming needs (I like minimal work hairstyles). The women I've had tend to always repeat the same cut or give me whatever the "popular" cut of the day is regardless of how ridiculous it might look on me. Their styles tend to rely a lot more on putting on the correct product at the precise time in order to work. I'm not sure why this is but, given the choice, I much prefer a male stylist.

Your feed post is full now in my google reader. Yea! You did great. Hey, I'm getting my hair cut and colored today too.

Haircut? I couldn't worry less about mine until it begins to cover up my ears. Then I sometimes trim it up a bit myself, or I get my personal barber to do it. WTH do you think I live with her for, if not at least that? :-)
