Blog Hopping Fun

I swear I have found the funniest things.  Ok I don't literally swear.  I mean I do swear, but not a lot.  I don't swear like a trucker.  Just....oh never mind.

I am catching up on blog reading.  I have a ton of posts in my head to write up but I'd rather catch up with everyone else before I start writing them and putting them in their files.  Ok technically this is a post but....oh never mind.

In my blog travels I'm reminded why I love blog hopping so much.  For one, like I said before, it allows me to get away from my own life for a bit.  Not that my life is bad, boring or otherwise.  Thankfully I have a very full life.  But it's always nice to 'get away' for a bit and see what people all over the world are doing.  I haven't had the opportunity to travel much in my lifetime....yet....so I am thrilled to 'travel' through the internet.

For example.  In my blog travels today I see some people are picking weeds out of their gardens already.  We still have a lot of snow where I am but also?  I have had six deer wandering through my yard nightly.  Plus one moose.  I have seen the deer numerous times.  I have only seen the moose poop.  I have only seen the moose poop because Mushu brought what I thought was a little chocolate easter egg into the house and I went to take it away from him because he is never allowed to eat chocolate.  He saw me coming and raaaaan with his little chocolate easter egg and dropped it while I was chasing him down the stairs.  I grabbed his little chocolate easter egg and said "AHA!  I got it you little butt.  It's all mine now!!".  Then I looked down in my hand and actually saw the little chocolate easter egg was in fact moose poop.  Only people who have seen moose droppings will understand how easy it is to get a little chocolate easter egg confused with moose poop.  I swear they look exactly alike!  I'm here to tell you there isn't enough bacterial soap in the world for me right now.

Um.  Where was I?  Right.  Blog hopping and why I love it so much.  Ok, so for one I can follow along with people in their journeys.  6 deer + 1 moose = no gardens again for me this year.  But I can enjoy others as they blog about their own gardens.

Secondly, I like when people post goofy things.  I also like reading other people's memes.  There are some fun ones out there.  I used to do a lot of memes but decided in the new year to really limit myself with them.  I also run across things like I just did over at Pamela's The Dust Can Wait.  I see these things and will often click on them just to see what comes up for me.  Today it was this.....

Blog hopping is alot of fun! And it is true...you can find some really interesting stuff out there...like pictures of everything you can think of....and what's going on in the other side of the world. Me, I especially like the SandCastle Festival pics over at South Padre Island!! That's a fun one...also the annual balloon fest in Albuquerque, NM. I played the slogan game, but mine was stupid...I'll have to keep trying to find a good one!

Hunting for wild game and learning how to look for and identify signs of animals is an education in itself. Some poor city-slicker-sap was visiting a farm for the first time in his life and had to be told to get out from under the rabbit pen because those aren't raisins. :-)

I love wildlife! I see a group of deer every morning when I get into work, and typically a bunch on my way home from work too! What I would do to have a Moose in my yard though....
