It's A Virtual Baby Shower!
There is a Virtual Baby Shower going on today for Karmyn of Dreaming What If's and Swampy is hosting this glorious event. I was visiting Swampy and noticed I wasn't put on the list with all the cool kids but decided I'm going to go ahead and post this since 1) I made the post up right after I signed up for the shower and it took me a bit to put it together 2) I deliberately put off closing the Grand Opening of A Spot of T til tomorrow so I could participate in the shower and 3) I love babies more then I love chocolate tootsie rolls and it just so happens I really like Karmyn as well. So I'm participating and that's all there is to it.
So. It's a day of bloggy love because Karmyn is having a baby and the little bundle of joy (a boy) is due May 23. It's been many years since I looked at things for babies and I'm here to tell you I don't know how my children survived without some of the very cool things they have out for babies nowadays. Wow. In the end I decided to go a little bit different route for my baby shower gifts. Here is what I am giving Karmyn....
I'm giving Karmyn a years worth of maid service. A new mom can always use a bit of extra help around the house when a new baby comes along.
I'm also giving you a car service for one year Karmyn. One car with one very handsome driver that will shuttle you, your children, your husband around to where ever you need to go at any time. Your driver will also run errands for you when ever you need him to, so get the grocery list together for him and it will all be looked after. Hubby at work and you need more diapers but don't want to bundle up three children and go yourself? Send your driver. He will be happy to do it for you.
Last but not least is a personal chef for one year. This chef is there to cook what ever you want when ever you want. Sit down with him, tell him what you and your family like to eat and leave the rest to him. He will be on hand 24 hours a day for you and your family.
There we have it. No baby rattles, no onesies, snugglies or wugglies or whatever they call those things today. Just good old every day things that I myself would have given anything for with three very small children to raise.
Go over to Swampy's to see the other list of participants if you would like to see everything Karmyn gets for her virtual baby shower. But don't look for my name on the list. Because I'm not on there. But that's ok.

Damn! Everyone is giving really useful gifts, I'm thinking I should have put more thought into it!

You are up and running at my place. Sorry bout that...my mind is on overload.

I'm fed up - 2 Molly Maids come to me every fortnight and I have to PAY them!
I want to be given their virtual service (mind you, it would be hard to tell that from their actual service - only joking)

can I get that even though I can't have babies anymore.. ha ha ha ha.
Many of us were thinking along the same lines.
More Gifts for Karmyn... less for the baby.
