No I Haven't Fallen Off The Face of The Planet

But thank you for asking.

My goodness my heart just goes pitter patter for all of you who have been emailing.  I definitely haven't fallen off the planet, I have been busy.  Ok I can't write that with a straight face because that was a total lie.  I haven't been busy at all, I just haven't felt like blogging.  I have been spending time just relaxing some more and going for walks and reading and playing with Mushu and talking to my kids and talking to Gregg and.....lots of important stuff.  I have been reading and catching up with everyone in my blog feed though so that must count for something right?

I have felt a slight twinge to get back to writing in my blog but I go to get on here and then go "nahhhh".  Ya what ever.  Like that never happens to you?  Please tell me that happens to you??

Can you imagine those famous writers in the world who are on deadlines and have commitments to get a book out at such and such a time?  I sure can't. Which is why I will never be a great writer...or even a slightly ok writer.  Not only am I amazed anyone can understand my blog as my slightly dyslexic writing skills show through on a constant basis, but I don't work well under pressure.  I used to work really well under pressure and would actually thrive on it when I was younger.  Now my left eye starts to twitch and I crawl into a corner and suck my thumb if the pressure gets to be too much.  And if anyone can explain why this has happened over the years I will give you a hundred pennies million dollars.

I'm going to take a stand and say all bloggers must take a mental break once in awhile.  Not a mental breakdown now.  Those are something completely different and not allowed on my watch.  Just a nice mental break that makes your left eye stop twitching and takes you away from everything.  Dr. Joy insists.  I can write a prescription if you need it.

To those who have written "I insist you write something Joy!"...."No way can you go on holidays and not tell us something about your holiday Joy.  Come on already"....and my personal favorite......"It should be against the law for you to go this long without blogging!!! I am in New Mexico, at freakin' boy scout camp, and I'm blogging!!! Get with it woman!!!

Oh man I laughed at that last one.  I even dribbled wine on the keyboard that I had in my lap after reading it.  Well worth another keyboard if this one stops working now.

I will write again and it will be soon and when I do I will tell you a story from our holiday.  I will tell the story about the fantastic wonderful excellent accommodation Gregg found for us while in PEI.  The one he was all excited about because a friend offered it to him.  The accommodation we spent one night in and one night only in.

I might tell you about the night Gregg drove with the top down in the convertible in the middle of the night and I froze to death because I was too stubborn to ask him to put the stupid top up.

I will tell you about the Angels I spent a week with because after all, if it weren't for the Angels voting to go to PEI, I would never have found the place I'm going to buy a home and retire on.  So you know.  I should talk about them.

I will show a few photos of my holiday but only a few because I don't want to be one of those people who drone on and on about their holiday.  Well that and I don't believe any picture in the world will do Prince Edward Island justice.

So I shall return.  Well.  After I take those two chilled bottles of wine in the fridge and drink them.  What?  I won't drink them both in one night.  That's just crazy.  It's for medicinal purposes only.  Honest.  I heard wine was good for eye twitches.  Not that my eye is twitching any more.  I now have one verrrrry lazy eye thanks to my break.  But wine is good for other things too you know.  Like....like...just a minute I'm thinking.

I also need to finally take the flash card out of my camera and see what kind of blurry pictures I took on my holiday.  No I haven't done that yet.  I've been busy.  *ha* No really.  And finally... I shall return once I feel like writing again.  I know at least some of you know what I'm sayin here.  I also need to finish this post before I start one more paragraph with "I".

well "i" miss you....

I SO understand what you are saying!!! Me, I'm in a slump.....a total blogging slump. I gotta get my groove back!!! And I miss you!

I went on a blogging hiatus once and freaked a bunch of people out.

Sometimes, after revealing so much of yourself to the blogosphere, you have to just sit back and stop for a day or two (or three or four.. or a week.. or a month.)

We'll be here when you get back :) Promise.

Glad you are having a good break. Sirdar is having a really long break and suggested he guest blog on my blog the other day. Huh?!. Anyway, I have taken time off from visiting when we were running around the last couple months and I missed people but it couldn't be helped. Most of the time I feel able to post, but there are times I just feel like throwing in the towel for a bit. I will take a big long break from blogging sometime too.

I totally get what your saying. In fact, I just wrote my own post (yes after 3 weeks I finally wrote one) about this very thing.

Take your time! Enjoy.

I came back to write that I'd love to see lots of photos and read you going on about your holiday. I know that won't make a bit of difference to whether or not you do, but I just had to put in my vote. :D

I'm not saying anything.

I'm totally respecting you and your space.

And I'm happy you are enjoying it all.

I'm very glad to see you've posted something. And, I agree. We all need a break. Enjoy the wine.

I have those times that I don't feel like blogging. I'm amazed I found so many nice people after my break. When my mom died I just couldn't blog but maybe 3 times in a year. Then I started in again, but everyone I used to go to, either never came by anymore or shut their blogs down.

I tell people when I don't blog as often that sometimes real life gets in the way. You just gotta live that real life. hehehehehe

Hi Joy! Sometimes you just need a bloggy break, I understand. I'm glad we both had great trips! You got any pictures to show off??

It turns out that your Klauck friends are cousins-in-law of a friend of mine. Small world, eh?

yes. I needed a break and my d@mn computer has given me several recently.

Writers block and deadlines? I'm sure that is why there are so many forgettable books out there on the shelves.

I think its a worldwide bloggy slump, seems its everywhere. To much summer fun to be had :)

I for one cannot wait to see your holiday snaps and imagine myself there

You, you, you, it's all about you, now isn't it? :-)

We'll wait because we've all been there, done that!

I try not to get all up in people's grill when they need a break. But you are missed.

Joy, I completely understand what you are saying. I’m sort of feeling the same way this summer. I get that twinge where I KNOW I should be (or I tell myself I should be) blogging. That little inkling that says “come on K, get online and post something”, but then I stare at the screen for a moment and decide “Naahhh, not tonight”. Like you said, we all need a mental break now and again. I’m enjoying mine, and am glad you seem to be enjoying yours.

Wine helps with cholesterol. My Dr said for me to drink one to two glasses a night. It helps relieve stress also! I wanna see more pictures! PLEASE!
