BIG Fish.....Hopefully

Gregg, Michael and Michael's friend Tyler all left early (4:00am) thursday morning to head out on their big whirlwind fishing trip to Prince Rupert.  Gregg figures it will be a 14 hour drive to Rupert, but I'm thinking more like 16 with two big scrapping teenagers who need to eat every half an hour or so.

Gregg and Michael went on a fishing trip to Prince Rupert 4 or 5 years ago and Michael would have been about 12 years old then.  Gregg's hoping he can help out a bit more this fishing trip.  You can see by the picture below that Michael wasn't about to get near that 150 lb Halibut he caught.

I have to make sure and put in here Michael caught the Halibut, because it was Michael's line the halibut was on.

The guide could tell it was a big fish so ran over and got Gregg to take Michael's place in reeling the Halibut in, but the story goes that Michael caught the fish.  I guess these things are important in a young man's life?

They are using the same Guide again this year and the guy is amazing!  Reeling Charters is the best and Ken makes it an incredible experience.

A friend of Gregg's just came back a couple of weeks ago with a 170 lb Halibut.  They both agree Ken seems to be the lucky charm in finding those big fish.

So of course men being men, Gregg must now bring back a mightier halibut than 170 lbs.  Sigh!
