A Spot of T's Wine Review
Wow wow wow. Thank you so much to everyone who emailed me on that last post. I'm all about the no commenting if you don't want to but you all should have written in because ooooeeeee did I learn a lot about wine. Maybe other people would too. Don't be keeping it all to yourself now. But thank you and thank you also for the suggestions on the wines you like and passed on. I will be drunk for a year and I'm going to blame it all on you.
People also asked since I was trying wine, have I found any I actually liked so far? Well yes, I have been trying reds and whites and I have found two wines I really like so far. So then I had a brain fart wave and I decided to start my own little wine review here at A Spot of T. It won't be fancy like a lot of wine reviews are, but what the heck. This first wine is from my son's best friend's mom. Apparently she drinks it all the time so Michael wrote down the name when he was over there and brought me home a bottle. It's called...
Arbor Mist Exotic Fruits White Zinfandel - 6% alcohol
No cork. Screw off cap all the way baby. Reddish pink in color and definitely smells like wine with raspberries and a hint of lime. But I almost don't want to call it a wine because it reminds me more of the vodka coolers I used to drink around the camp fire a hundred years ago. Light and smooth, tastes like wine but with a fruity raspberry flavor. It also has a sparkly taste to it. Not quite pop, not champagne either. Alcopop? I'm guessing the real diehard wine drinkers will be laughing at this little wine but since I always cheer for the underdog, I'm going to say I really like it. It is sweet which of course I love. For supper tonight I had parmesan chicken in tomato sauce and a glass of this wine and it was very nice. I will be writing this wine down on the 'keeper' side of my wine list and give it....
Four stars out of Five.
