Mushu Plays "Catch Me If You Can"

Mushu plays a lot of games but the one game he loves the most is "catch me if you can".

It doesn't normally last very long but the day I filmed this video he couldn't seem to get enough of running in circles.  The minute I turned my back, I would hear him behind me and it got to the point where I would hold the camera towards him but turn away.  He thought he was being so sneaky behind those trees and he'd come running out because I guess he thought if I wasn't 'looking' at him, I didn't know he was there.

And if anyone thinks filming a bichon running in circles is easy...give it a try one day.  Those pups are fast!

Today I Went To The Groomer and The Vet

Mushu

Today I was up bright and early and mom took me to the groomers.  I love going to the groomers because they are very nice to me there.  Mom says they spoil me but I'm not sure about that.  I never have to go in a cage like the other dogs and they let me roam around the shop.  Today they told my mom I just about went home with another lady because I got all excited and walked out the door with them.  I came back in right away though so I'm not sure what all the fuss was about.

Mom discovered I had mats on my legs and when she cut them out she found out I had sores on my legs.  It's not my fault.  My leg was sore so I kept licking it.  But the fur kept pulling and hurting every time I would.  Mom felt bad but it's getting better and I leave it alone now.  It feels so much better without the mats on it.  The groomers gave me pretty short haircut this time though and every time mom looks at me she says "Awww poor pup.  You look so funny."  I asked mom not to take any pictures of me with my funny haircut and she said ok.  That's why I have long hair in the above picture.

Mom and Samantha came and picked me up and as much as I love the groomers, I love my mom and my Samantha.  We went back home and I got to drink some water, eat a few bites of my food, go to the bathroom and then it was time to head back into the City with mom and Samantha.  No one told me about going to the vet's today.  Someone should have told me.

All I will say is my vet is very thorough.  Other then that I don't want to talk about the whole ordeal.  Mom found out from the vet today that I am finally at a perfect weight.  20 pounds.  Both my vet and mom said they were very proud of me and that made me feel good.  I asked for a treat but everyone said no.  Instead I got a needle and then something squirted up my nose that made me sneeze 3.2 times.

There was a very bad puppy in the vet's office today.  Mom said he was just a baby and probably hasn't been taught by it's owners to behave when he's out in public.  His mom just sat there and let him run all over the place with his long leash and bark at everyone.  I wasn't scared of him like the other dogs were and only hid behind mom's legs because I didn't want to hurt the little yappy pup.  Mom said his mom should have comforted him and not let him bark at people or that poor kitty who was scared and in it's cage.  The kitty's mom was not very happy with the puppy's mom for allowing him to act that way

I think moms and dads should look after their animals like my mom does.  A nice regular grooming and....and....a thorough check-up.  No matter how embarrassing the exam may be, it's important for our health.  I also think moms and dads should teach us manners and then we won't scare other animals or even people.  That's what I think.

Dona Nobis Pacem

Taken from the original site - Mimi Writes....

Dona Nobis Pacem is Latin for "Grant Us Peace". The Peace Globe project began in the fall of 2006 with a simple post from this blog. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. The passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog across the globe until it reached 35 countries and 46 states. BlogBlast for Peace is a semi-annual blog event.

It is positively inspiring to watch. The simplicity of three Latin words on a globe and bloggers writing amazing articles on what peace means to them.
Simple. And powerful.

On June 4, 2008 bloggers from all across the globe will blog for peace. We will speak with one voice. One subject. One day.

*******

Mom saw this project and asked if I wanted to participate.  I said "WOOF!"  That means yes in case you don't speak Mushu.

My mom and I believe in peace, so here is my contribution to this day....

Mushu and the Honey Bee

When I was a baby I sat on a yellow and black thing that buzzed.  Mom called it a wasp.  It bit me.  Or stung me as mom says.  Now I am scared of bugs that buzz.

So when a honey bee flew in the window of the truck as mom and I were enjoying a nice drive?  Well........
